SUNDAY SCHOOL
Calvary is a growing church for God’s children of all ages. Several years ago, we added a new Christian education wing to our building. Learning is a lifelong process which allows everyone to grow in the faith and to be able to tell others about it.
Children and Youth
Sunday school for children ages three through 18 years is available free of charge. New faces are welcome any time and activities are suitable for all levels of religious understanding. Classes are taught in a safe and caring environment by trained members of our congregation. Sunday school begins at 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Afterwards, please join us for snacks and fellowship in Kimberlin Hall.
Adults
For those over the age of 18, there are two opportunities for Christian education on Sunday morning. One class meets from 9-10 a.m. and the other from 10:30-11:30 a.m., with fellowship in between.
Adult education
Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:30
Preview and Review
Each Sunday for the next few weeks both classes will be looking at the lectionary texts for the day. The 9:00 class will preview the texts before they hear the sermon and the 10:30 class will review the texts after they hear the sermon. Audrey and the class members will take turns facilitating the discussion. Learn to listen to the sermon in a different way. Join us.
Calvary's Sunday School Cares
Once again this year, from October through May,
Calvary's Sunday School families will be asked to consider donating
a particular non-perishable food item each month to be donated to
either Mt. Airy NET or Morgan Chapel's food pantries.
The donation bins will be in the upstairs and downstairs
Sunday School hallways.
Questions, see Shawn Franklin.
This program is sponsored by Calvary's Social Ministry committee.
